Dina Joann Weaver Obituary

Dina Joann Weaver passed away Saturday, September 4, 2004 at the age of 46 after a 3-year determined battle with cancer. Dina grew up in Toughkenamon and lived in Landenberg for 25 years. She was a 1976 graduate of Kennett Consolidated High School, attended Goldey-Beacom College of DE and was an MBA graduate of Walsh University, MI. Most recently, Dina lived in Rochester Hills, MI where she was employed by Daimler Chrysler Corporation as a financial analyst. Her hobbies included gardening and gourmet cooking. She was well respected in her community for her work on the Children's Hospital Festival of Trees Fundraiser and other charitable organizations. Dina was devoted to her church, The Rochester First Assembly of God located in Rochester, MI, where she loved working with the children's ministry. Dina was a beautiful daughter, sister and friend who is survived by her parents, Joel Mark and Ilene Weaver of Landenberg; grandmother, Faye Dixon of High Point, NC; brother, Richard M. Weaver of Landenberg; sister, Norma Jean Fratoni of South Portland, ME; 2 nephews Matthew Snyder and Benjamin Fratoni; and her most loyal and dearest friend, aunt Fredia Jeandell. Family and friends are invited to attend Dina's Life Celebration from 6-8 pm Thursday, September 9, 2004 at the Cleveland & Gofus Funeral Home, Inc., 221-223 Pennsylvania Ave., Avondale, PA followed by her funeral service at 8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be held in North Carolina in the family cemetery on Saturday. A memorial service will also be held at her church in Michigan. Memorial contributions in Dina's name may be made to the Rochester First Assembly of God Church-Children's Ministry, 4435 Rochester Road, Rochester, MI 48306, phone (248) 652-3353 or to the American Cancer Society.
